Update on the Den

Yes, I know I'm lousy at the whole "daily journal" thing.
I got my Autism Spectrum assessment back a couple weeks ago. It turns out that I am actually on the spectrum. It explains a lot, but I still need to go over stuff with the assessment proctor, because there's things I don't quite understand.
I've been working on my coping skills and learning new ways to handle my anxiety, which is an ongoing work in progress. In recent times, I've noticed I've started feeling the depression creep back in, and I addressed that earlier today with my Psych doctor. My antidepressant dosage was upped today, so we'll see how things go. I also received a new prescription to help me sleep better.
Spring Break was last week for the local school district, which meant Mom was home for nine straight days. I'm glad that she's back at work. Though, between the two of us, we got a lot done in terms of cleaning up the house. We unpacked all her "good" china, though she admitted it was cheap, and came from the grocery store. She decided we'd use that as our daily dishes, because otherwise, it was just going to waste. We got a couple of light bulbs in the laundry room hallway changed (We'd been getting on Dad's case to do so for months, and he wouldn't do it, so we did it ourselves), the one smoke detector that hadn't had a battery change done yet got a battery change, the china hutch got cleaned out and reorganized, Dad's birthday gift got moved down to the basement where it belongs, all the boxes and trash in the furnace/storage room got cleared out, and Mom went to an appointment, and then we went shopping, and I got a couple new bras, and a new pair of shoes.
I've been working on artwork of Transformers characters drawn in pinup poses, both for my own amusement/practice and for tattoo design purposes. I also completed a drawing for my friend's Transformers Femme zine, which will be available this fall/winter, and which I'll link to when it's done. I'm going to work on a couple more pieces, though I haven't decided who to draw yet.
I'm also looking into jobs up in Edmonton, AB, because I'm legitimately scared that I could lose my state-provided healthcare at any point in the near future. Such is the sorry state of the US currently.
I'm going to make my request that my mom and dad make up for last year's lack of birthday celebration, and blatantly playing favorites by making a big deal of the sibling turning 30 earlier this month, by paying for my plane ticket to TFCon, since that convention is over my birthday this year.
I'm running out of things to talk about, so until next update, peace!
